The article is aimed at prognosing some results in the men’s triple jump event. An analysis of the alteration of the results of world champions and the 12th by place competitors from the final competition in the event in the so far 9 World Championships in athletics on open air. A mathematical prognosis for the results of the next world champion and the finishing 12th competitor which could pass the qualification competition for the next 10th World Championships during 2005 has been made. The mathematical calculated results were compared with an expert prognosis, made by inquiry of athletics specialists.
